Mr. Padrinez, a hefty businessman who owned the Sageway grocery store near the campus. He had a big mustache and a stout but not fat frame — he looked like an ex-football player, though Jimmy had no idea if he was. He had a sortuva walrusy look that woulda set Jimmy off laughing if his teammates were here.
