Descriptions
Greenbelly was shucking and jiving down the side of the road, half-jittered from crack and half-dancing to unheard funk. He got hair grim and gray, his skin ashy, his hair wild and knappy in every direction. He was slender like a scarecrow, like his limbs ain’t fit his joints, and his raggedy shirt betrayed his bony brown ribcage.
Greenbelly was a black man in his mid-thirties, with a broad beard that jutted out wild; the hair on his head was dense and black and unkempt. He had little chicken legs but a surprisingly powerful chest, his muscles withered and taut like he ain’t eat enough. Indeed, it looked like he barely ate any solid food at all — he was surrounded by malt liquor bottles.
