Nugget was this stringy-hair fat-nosed crackhead who been bumming round Smashwood fer years. He was white, but he was tan as a burnt tangerine and weathery like a old boat. He was still strong as hell — he got them crackhead muscles, and he usedta be a lumberjack or some shit, Buck couldn’t remember exactly, but he worked with wood and he had big arms back then. Now he looked like the same feller done got stuck in a microwave.
