The shower at New Jersey State was officially a twelve-man space, one showerhead spraying in a complete circle. But they put the whole cell — around fifty men — in at once. It was asses to elbows in there. You couldn’t help but appreciate the male form, or at least Desmond couldn’t.
It was so crowded that they had to jostle for space in the water. Mostly guys stayed outta the spray as they soaped up, then crowded in to rinse off the best they could.
